About Cheetah

Cheetahs, renowned for their unparalleled speed, are native to Africa and a small portion of Iran. They are uniquely adapted for sprinting, boasting a flexible spine, semi-retractable claws, and a long tail for balance. Unlike other big cats, cheetahs are diurnal hunters, relying on their eyesight to spot prey. They typically hunt gazelles, impalas, and other small to medium-sized ungulates. Sadly, cheetah populations are threatened due to habitat loss and human conflict. Their distinctive spotted coat provides excellent camouflage in the grasslands and savannas they call home.

Size Overview

The cheetah, the fastest land animal, is a magnificent creature. An adult cheetah typically measures around 2000mm in width, 850mm in height, and 2000mm in length. That's 200.0 cm wide and 85.0 cm tall. Imagine a large dog – a cheetah is about the size of a Great Dane stretched out, though slightly longer. Its sleek body and long legs allow for incredible speed, but its relatively small stature makes it surprisingly agile. They are roughly as tall as a kitchen counter and could almost fit inside a small car if they were to curl up.
